Hello, I'm building a .net backend for virtuemart2. I have a problem when calling two methods in a short time, waiting a few secs works but I really need to call them consecutively (synching several rows of data and so on..). The error I get is: Protocol violation in Section=ResponseStatusLine I tried to kill and force close the client connection between two consecutive calls but it won't affect the result, only waiting 5-10 seconds will do, but it's way too much. The methods I tried are addproduct and addcustomfield, any sequence of methods will trigger the error.

Hi I am new to ecommerce and managing a shop. I am setting up an eshop in Italy with VM and will be pulling eshop sales and physical store sales from one shared inventory. I use Mac OSx computers. I am trying to understand if VDM can be used to also communicate with my store register [yet to be purchased] and how this could be achieved. I do not want to have to have a second redundant software system. I will need a scanner and software that will talk to my Mac computer and my register so I can scan items for in-store purchase as well as adjust my inventory in VDM and on my VM site. Can anyone help me to understand if VDM will communicate with in-store registers and if so, would I need any extra software to make this happen? Problem is solved. for security reason only superVendor can create product. user_is_vendor = 1 virtuemart_vendor_id = 1 in virtuemart_vmusers table. When you AddProduct, your user must be SuperVendor. To do that go to Virtuemart / Shopper. Select your user in list and clik on "Is a vendor". Edit user and save.

Have you looked at some sort of ESB solutions? One thing that comes to mind as mentioned by the admin above is to build a "mapper" that trasforms and maps messages. I use "membrane esb" (opensource) for doing message transformation & protocol conversions. It's entirely based on XSL transformation. You might want to try that out as it supports building Web Services Proxy and Gateway type of ESB's as well. Hope it helps.

I have the same question. I have allready purchased VDM for a webshop. Now I need another copy for a second webshop. This second webshop is also running in a test enviroment. I need to import and adjust a lot of product before we go live. You can count on it that VDM is also used in the live enviroment. I do not want to buy two license for one project.
